ONDA 9.7 is an ace tablet too, android works great too aswell as windows – l use kess on my tablet without a problem, like you say battery life is hours, but kess is abit different as it sends file to kess unit and unit sends file to ecu so its very safe, for me win10 runs 99% of stuff l put on it and even stuff win7 will not run But downgrading a tablet to windows 7 would most likely enable it Otherwise I could always make a quick map twik on the spot. Its a shame tho that I couldn’t get Winols to run on windows 10. You need a micro to full size usb adapter for your interface. Something I would never do with a laptop. Saves me carrying a laptop with me and I feel safe to use my tablet off the battery while flashing. When I select 'write' at this point, it directs me to select what tune I wish to write. Once the mpps has identified and acknowledged the proper profile and vehicle VIN. Your description is not quite specific enough that I can identify what is happening, but it appears as if you are trying to do a read and write on the same session. I determined my firmware is 1037380808P, so I downloaded Nicks 808 mild tune (first one on the list) to my laptop's desktop, Then, I pressed the "Write" button, and selected nick's tune on the desktop. I am using 7 and it took a bit of wrangling to get the drivers loaded, but I managed to get to the point of successfully downloading the stock ECU this morning. I just installed the Weeks stage 2 kit, and the next step for me was to flash the ECU, using MPPS V13.02.
